Both British BCs fail their speed rolls, and Axis take the logical approach by sailing all 7 German ships to the Barents. U-boats train in the Baltic and the Italians divide themselves between Italy and the Mediterranean.
Plenty of action on the airstrikes as the RAF sinks the Gorizia in the Mediterranean and the Ark Royal disables the Gniesenau, sinks the Graf Spee and damages the Scharnhorst for -2. In reply, the Luftwaffe disables the Hood.
Allied 1st round gunnery disables 3 more ships, the Scharnhorst, Admiral Hipper, and Blucher, while in reply the Germans can only sink the Kent, disable the Devonshire, and nick the Exeter for -1. Things look grim for the Axis at this point with only 2 pocket battleships left, facing 5 British CAs. However, Allied gunnery misses completely while the Germans sink 2 more cruisers, Kent and Dorsetshire.

Having only lost 3 CAs on Turn 1, Allies decide to try to blockade
the Axis and control all 4 northern areas. They deploy as

Only one 456 fails its speed roll and Axis plays conservatively, sending 4 U-boats to the S. Atlantic, repairing Scharnhorst, sending all other German ships to the Baltic and dividing the Italian fleet as usual. Allied LBA tries to bomb Scharnhorst in drydock but to no effect. Axis LBA similarly ineffective. Allied ASW sinks 2 U-boats and disables 1, leaving 1 to break control of the S. Atlantic. Its torpedo is wide of the mark on the Eagle.
Allies control Barents, North Sea, and N. Atlantic while the Axis have the Baltic and the Mediterranean. POC is even for this turn and still +1 for the Axis overall.
Allies have a complete blockade and try to press home that
advantage, especially given that the Axis has only 3 U-boats. Neither

All 5 six-speed capital ships make their speed rolls to the Barents. Nevertheless, facing a blockade for the 2nd turn in a row, the Axis deploys all 9 ships to the Barents plus their LBA. The U-boats patrol the Baltic.
As usual, the Italian Navy splits between Italy and the Mediterranean. RAF bombs nick Pola for -1 damage, setting the stage for a 20-ship battle royal (plus LBA and 2 carriers) in the Barents. Allied carrier airstrikes send the Gniesenau home before the first salvos are fired, but the Luftwaffe cannot find their targets.
Allied 11-ship, 27-shot broadside sinks the Scharnhorst, Lutzow, and Admiral Hipper and disables the Prinz Eugen, Blucher, and Tirpitz, the latter with -3 damage. Bismarck is nicked for -1 damage. Axis 8-ship, 18-bonus shot riposte is deadly, sinking 4 capital ships and a cruiser (King George V, Prince of Wales, Duke of York, Renown, and Devonshire). The Hood also takes a hit for -1. Despite the Allied losses, they still outnumber the Axis by 6 ships to 2 for Round 2. The Allies' 11 shots disable both Bismarck and Admiral Scheer, the former taking 5 more damage points for -6 total. Axis return volley disables their 2 targets, Hood and Repulse, the former taking -2 damage for -3 overall. After the carnage, the Allies still control the Barents and maintain the blockade.
